Gift Tag

Happy Friday Everyone!
It was my turn today to post the Freebie Friday images over at the Blackleaf blog and it was my day to create a project with them.
I was able to make this fun holiday gift tag. I love that its still a hint of traditional color but I threw in the yellow to make it pop.
You cannot in picture tell but I used the Copic clearn spica glitter pretty much all over it :)

I also wanted my ribbon to have holes in it as well so it matched the scallop circle I punched holes in!

If you want this digi stamp (save to your computer and print from word) than head on over to my post over at Blackleaf to get the image!!
There is also a free matching digi paper that I didnt get to use on this project.
I am so ready for the weekend to be here! My mom and sister are coming here on Sunday and we are going to go shopping and hopefully do a little Christmas shopping..I am so ready to be done!
I also did a craft video that I need to upload and share with you all this weekend!
See you soon

Halloween Blog Hop!!

Hey Everyone!
Happy Halloween!!!! I am so excited to be apart of the Blackleaf's first ever Halloween blog hop and you probably can guess the theme......HALLOWEEN!!!
If you came here from the main Blackleaf blog than you are on the right track!
Also...dont forget to leave a comment at every stop along the way for a chance to win ALL the digi Halloween stamps you will see today throughout the blogs!! How fun is that!?!
Here is my project using just two of the many stamps that you can win. I printed them off and colored using my copic markers. I made the witch's feet into a mini 3x3 thank you card and the hat into a favor bag for a yummy bag full of candy!

I hope you enjoyed my projects! Your next stop for the hop is the wonderful DT member Chris's blog!

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!!!

Freebie Friday

Hey Everyone,
Happy Friday!! I am so excited it's Friday. I am ready for some time with Aiden and Brent. It is SO nice..we do not have anything planned or committments for this weekend...now if only Mr. Aiden would let us sleep in ;)
We hope to finish packing up the house and clean to put the house on the market next week. We have been pushing the date back due to lack of time being able to watch/entertain Aiden, get sleep, and pack lol.
Over at Blackleaf it was my turn to play with the Freebie Friday ( I have this image on the blog for you to right click and save to your computer)
Here is the card I created with the flower

I used the ultra fine flower soft in Raspberry Fuzz for the flower center..love that stuff!

I used the following Copic colors on the card

Outline around flower-C1

Petals- R85

Leaves- YG63 and YG67

I also faux stiched around the green mat.

Hope you enjoyed the card.....make sure to check back tomorrow because I have a fun card that I created using a template I bought at the stamp convetion!!

Blinged Cupcakes

Happy Wednesday Everyone!
That means its a sketch challenge over at Blackleaf Blog..I have already posted it over there but I wanted to share the card I made with you all.
And here is the card I created from it. Not quite the same but definitely inspired me to make the card.
The best thing about this card was that I raided my scraps of paper. I love when I can use those!! I colored the image with copics (I used bright colors as I was matching the doodlebug pattern paper). The cardstock already had embossed hearts on it and its from the old Love Elsie line.
Each little cupcake has bling on it and I used my new Bow Easy (tutorial coming soon!) to make the adorable bow! I love the way it turned out.
Yesterday during Aiden's nap I created 2 new Copic videos and did my scrapbook room video...I will post them soon!!
Have a great day and see you tomorrow!

Monday already?!

Here is a card I created for the challenge I had on the Blackleaf blog. I had to use diecutting.
I ran the little girl throuh my cuttlebug using my nesties and ran it through again to emboss (hard to tell in pic!) I also used the Stampin Up embosslit die with all those mini butterflies. It is actually 3d in real life! Simple card since I have been short on time this weekend (story of my life it feels like lol)
Aiden is actually taking a nap right now so I am going to get off here and go create some more cards..will show you later. I also feel like doing a video since I havent in awhile.
I colored her with copics and added flower soft for grass. I like the way it turnen out!

Crabby Card

Hey Everyone!

Now that I am back home and the 4th of July activities has slown down I can blog more! Honestly I just haven't had alot of time lately. The first of July is a very busy month for us (Brents Bday, 4th of July).

Here is a card I made for Blackleaf's challenge going on right now...it involves embossing. I did dry embossing and used my cuttlebug and an embossing folder. There is sewing around the card as well as googly eyes on the crab!!

This digi set worked perfectly with my old Stampin Up Wheel that went with their crab image.

Anyways- Brent and I got to stay overnight at a casino since they gave him a free room AND free money...but we didn't do so well LOL. We were smart enough to quit and head back to the room early with some money left in our pockets. It was still fun though!

I am about to place another Copic order in...I have sold pretty much all of my open stock markers and need to replenish! Have a great Wednesday and check back tomorrow!!

Little Mermaid

Happy Friday Everyone!!

I cannot believe it is JULY already...its crazy! Christmas will be here before you know it. I just wanted to make sure I got the chance to post today with the card I created for Blackleaf...it also fits the Friday Sketchers sketch challenge going on right now...

I used the Mermaid Stamps and colored her with my copics. For her tail I used 3 colors to give it a multi-color shimmer look to it...same thing with the shells. I also put glitter on the tail and shells!

Like I said before..I wanted to post now since TODAY IS BRENTS BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!! And I will be spending the day with him and Aiden. So...its almost 2am and I am getting pretty tired so I will post more later LOL...........Thanks for looking!!!

Im back!!

I am back!! Wow..it feels like I havent blogged in a long time. I took the weekend/Monday off.

I wanted to spend time with Aiden and Brent for Father's Day and make sure his weekend was special and me not being on the computer all weekend ;)

On Monday I also kinda threw him a surprise early bday party with the help of my mom and sister. It wasnt for family..just us. My mom was in on it so she could watch Aiden for us and we could have a day to ourselves (I took him to a casino..he loves going!) and my sister was in on it so pick up his surprise cake and pizza dinner.

We surprised him..his bday is on July 2nd and I feel like we never reall celebrate it with the 4th that same week.

(His mane has paper curled up to look 3d..not sure why it looks strange in pic lol)

I created this card for the challenge going on at the Blackleaf blog..check it out..you could win an entire set of jungle stamps!! How fun.

Okay well I am sorry to cut this short but my MIL has Aiden today so I get some FREE TIME..and I am not wasting it lol...

Over the top challenge

Hello!

Todays card was made for my challenge over at Blackleaf. This was a fun challenge..its called over the top and I had to use only ONE image, TWO colors, and THREE buttons!!

It has been raining pretty much all weekend and Monday so I decided to use bright colors! I went with pink and orage. I colored the flowers with my copics and did the feathering and blending technique so they are both pink and orange. The pattern paper was some scrap paper I had from a bigger DCWV stack of paper.

I also used some of the KI lace cardstock...again from my scrap drawer. I have been cleaning my scrapbook room all weekend..well after Saturdays craft snow when I had my free time back again. I cannot wait to show you pics..I have added some things and gotten rid of some things.
Well I am going to get off here and head to bed...Brent has to work tomorrow so he needs to get some sleep. Check back soon to see what I made Aiden and my nephew Carson last week!!

Pre colored images?

Happy Wednesday!!

I promise I will start posting each day again AFTER this weekend...when things will finally be caught up! Today my mother in law offered to take Aiden pretty much all day (SHE ROCKS!!). I got to do a little shopping and worked on craft show items. I really needed it and I am so greatful for her watching him and spoiling him ;)

We then went out to dinner with them and it was so yummy! But now..its back to working again LOL.

This is why I loved the challenge over at Blackleaf for this week. Its using pre colored images!! I know..I LOVE coloring images but right now with the lack of time, this set was so much fun to just cut out and use some scrap paper I had on hand! Of course I had to add some bling ;)

I am also VERY excited to say that I will be doing Copic tutorials over on The Stamping Boutique challenge blogs for my design team term. My first one is posted now!!!! I am so excited! I will post it on here as well but right now check it out HERE

Its about coloring jeans on Aj (character available on the website!)

Go check it out and leave some comments...what Copic tutorial would you like to see next?!?

Im Alive!

I feel like its been forever since I last blogged on here. We have been so busy with Memorial Day weekend and all the cookout with both families.

Brent and I also got to have a date day/night on Saturday..which was much needed. I cannot tell you when the last one was. He took me to a big stamp store, Ikea (got everything off my wish list..cant wait to show you!) casino (where he won!) so we had such a great weekend..but it went by FAST.

At least its a short work week for Brent since he had yesterday off as well. I was able to hang out with a friend and go to lunch.

Here is a card I created to introduce myself to The Stamping Boutique.
I cannot wait to color the images and get started!!

I used Copics, glossy accents (for water) and mudd puddles for sand. There are also buttons and flip flop embellishments on the card. The cardbase is Stampin Up, the green cardstock is bazzill and the beah paper came from the Target $ spot.

Also I am VERY excited to say that I have taken over the Blackleaf Design Team Coordinator position. Here is the newest project I created with the adorable carousel stamps that were just created. I made it into a giftcard/money tag. There is alot of glitter on the tag but cannot tell in the picture.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend/holiday. I gotta get lunch ready for Mr. Aiden and myself since he decided to sleep in till 11am!

GO GO GO!!!

Aww how appropriate...this next card says "cheer up" and this is my last card I had to create for my Inktegrity Design team term :(

I have such a blast being on that design team..it was one of my first ones and taught me all the little "rules" and how to be on a great design team!

I just love this little girl image...makes me wish I had one lol

I wanted to be creative again so I took my paper crimper and shredded some green cardstock that has been crimped. I then used glossy accents and just started "piling" on the cardstock to make pom poms...I love the way it turned out!! I also had to use 2 mini pink real pom poms on the card.

This sketch is also for Mojo Monday.
I was excited to squeze in a sketch challenge sometime this week!!

I also have some more great news..I was asked to step up on my Blackleaf Design Team and become the DT Coordinator!! I am thrilled and cannot wait to up my responsibilities..Im just nervous getting started and making sure I do a great job!
Brent is home today!!! He was lucky to take today off.......but he doesnt know it yet but I have major plans for him being home LOL..We have errands to run, a bday gift to buy, flowers to plant and more!!!!!!!!!! Think he will be up to the challenge?!

Using Ribbon

Hello Everyone!

Time for another challenge..this time head on over to Blackleaf to play!! I had alot of fun lately making cards..I am trying to be creative and add something to each image I color and create with (see post below on how I did this yesterday!)

So this time you need to use a Blackleaf product (there are some freebies!!) and usse RIBBON!!

You can win this entire set......they come in DIGI STAMPS or IMAGES (already colored!!)

I chose to work with the stamps..since I love coloring.
I pieced the barn and tree together. The cow is popdotted on the card sorta in front of the scene I created.

The ground is ribbon!!! At first I was not sure if it was going to work but it turned out okay!

I cannot wait for this weekend to get here.......DH and I finally get to have a date night or day I should say. Lets just say stamp shopping, ikea, and casino are in the picture LOL. I cannot wait..I cannot tell you when the last time we had a date day/night (yes..its been a few months..maybe more!)

I gotta get ready for the day since Aiden decided to wake up earlier than usual..its throwing my routine off!

See you tomorrow!

Metal Mania

Wednesday was also a new challenge over at Blackleaf as well! It's fun..you need to use blackleaf images and metal of some sort!

The DT got to use the new stamps (which I am so excited to use again!)

And here is my card I created-I ran alumin foil through my cuttlebug. Since its so fragile I always attatch cardstock behind the foil first...so that when you run it through it doesnt tear the delicate foil. At the bottom of the card I wanted the foil to look "rough" so I punched holes in it and kinda tore the top and bent it.

I have used this technique before on cards for my dad since he loves Harley Davidson and Chrome.
I am so happy its Friday!!! I hope to have some time to work on some craft show items...I am starting to stress a little LOL..even though Brent made me promise not to get stressed. I also have found a BIG show nearby that is having one in November..I really want to sign up for that one as well.
Will it rain AGAIN..for the 5th weekend in a row?! We shall see lol...Check back later because I have some exciting news, new items to show, and a new video of my latest craft show item!!

BLS10-Challenge

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Wednedays are always so busy for me in the paper crafting area because BOTH Inktegrity and Blackleaf do challenges...so here is Blackleafs sketch for the week.

For this sketch I flipped it and did it vertically. I love this stork image...the little baby boy is podotted. The green glittered stars are popdots that my Aunt Dana found for my mom and I at Tuesday morning (thanks Dana!). I love them and couldnt resist not putting glitter on them. There is also glitter around the stork.

Well Aiden and I have a busy day today so I probably wont post again until tomorrow. I have been working like crazy late at night in my craft room getting ready for my craft show in June..its official..I have LESS than a MONTH to get everything done and ready to go!!!!!!!!

Have a great night....Im happy because its Survivor night!

My Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Happy weekend!! This post will probably be really short...I am so tired right now (Aiden has been waking up VERY early for the whole week..and it wears me out lol).

So sad I am ready for bed at midnight on a weekend..what has happened to me?!

Today I went shopping with my sister to find some dressy clothes for her since she is now going to intern at a lawyers office. Had alot of fun with her..AND she did my hair tonight :)

For Blackleaf it was my turn as a DT member to do a challenge and I was able to use an army set Tanvi has released and I had a color combo challenge (use red, black, and green.)

Here is my card!

The gun has glossy accents on it and I wanted to use big metal masculine brads. I stamped the Happy Fathers Day sentiment with a Jo Ann's $1.00 stamp I just got not too long ago.
This card is very masculine and perfect for a father serving in the army or had. Hopefully I will post more this weekend..I havent had much time for crafting :( Maybe for Mothers Day?!
So go and check out my post over on the Blackeaf Studios blog!
Have a great weekend!

Baby Cards

While cleaning/organizing my scrapbooking embellishments I found a whole packpage of adorable mini clothespins. I couldn't resist using them so I made baby cards with them (and that is when the cleaning stopped lol)

The clothes line is part of Blackleaf's Doodle Baby set. Such a fun set to work with. This card is very 3d though with the beads that spell out baby and the clothespins. There is glossy accents on the heart and the socks.

And here is the little girl version. Another cute thing to do with this is instead of spelling out "baby" it could be customized with the babies name!! So cute!

These cards will be in my Etsy store shortly.

I have been busy battling a cold (yuck!) Although I really don't have it too bad yet. I can still function (thank goodness when you are caring for a 19 month old). I also have been busy doing custom Etsy orders. I have sold 7 cards in 24 hours!! I love it...makes all my hard work and all the time I put into worthwhile when you get positive feedback!

Well I need to get off here and clean around the house a little and make a meal plan for this week (yes..I know its Tuesday and I am just starting it LOL). Oh well.........see you tomorrow!

Festive Wine Tag

Its Thursday already!! YAY..almost another weekend..I love it when the weekdays fly by and the weekend is here! Busy as always!! I have alot of fun projects in the works! Over at Blackleaf Studios there is another challenge going on..........
  • Use Blackleaf products...there are some freebies to chose from if you just want to see what Blackleaf is all about (you wont be disapointed!)
  • Use chipboard!

The DT has also been trying to stay away from cards and think outside of the box...the winner gets a full set of the adorable wine tags I used below in my project.

I wanted to use the blue wine tag with butterflies on it. You cant tell from the picture but I covered each butterfly in glitter on the tag! The tag is also backed in CHIPBOARD. The butterflies are a martha stewart punch and they are also made out of CHIPBOARD (thin white) and I used CHIPBOARD white thickers to spell out "WINE".

I used scrap paper (love when I do that!) to cover the bottle of wine and wraped a matching blue ribbon around the bottle. I also added 3d CHIPBOARD butterflies all the way around the bottle.

Wouldnt this be a wonderful and thoughtful gift for a new neighbor or house warming party!

Well Aiden and I have a very busy day today!! Gotta get going..check back tomorrow for more creations :)

Gerber Food Stage Containers?!?!

You can always make a fun and cute gift (of a well deserved gift for yourself) with materials you have at hand or something really inexpensive.

Aiden doesnt really eat baby food anymore but we have some left and I use to save ALL of these cute little sturdy Gerber stage food containers.

I gave some to a SU demo for her to use, to my grandma, to my mom, to my aunt, and many more people and yet I still find TONS in my scrap room.

Where is this post going you may ask? At Blackleaf Studios the challenge for this time is to make anything but a card and I wanted to use to adorable tea pots.

So I took this (of course this isnt the same one I used..mine was all nice and clean ;) )

And transformed it into this....an adorable favorite tea holder. I will probably give this to my friend who just got a job in an office setting....so she can store her favorite teas at her dest :)

Whats ever better.........all the paper were scraps I had left over for a project I cant wait to show you that I am part off!!!

The paper is My Minds Eye and I got it from Hobby Lobby (3 papers total) and I used copics to color the tea pot, popdots, mini tag, and just a black pen and SU elegant Eggplant cardstock.

It really did not take alot of time at all and yet it looks like I did LOL

So if you have any time and have some Blackleaf projects you should try this challenge and link your project HERE. I know myself and the rest of the DT would love to see what you can do!

Okay well I am off to fix Mr. Aiden and myself some lunch..we got up a little early and were going to eat lunch a little early :)
