Birthday Card

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone is staying safe and finding time for crafting. My husbands birthday was this week and it is now safe to show the card online 😂 since he has seen it.

He loves pizza and I knew we were getting pizza for dinner that night so I knew this card was a must. The stamps are from Inky Antics and features their scratch and sniff line. I used Copic markers for quick coloring and quick blending. I then added the scratch and sniff sticker to the pizza image. The background die is from Reverse Confetti.

Thanks for stopping by...come back soon for another card!

New Adventure-House Building

Hello!

Gosh, it's so easy to let life get in the way of blogging.  I have been very busy with my Etsy shoppe, being a mom to Aiden, and spending time with my family.  We have also been busy selling our home, living in a rental, buying land, preparing the land and now building on the land :)

It has been a long process to get here and I want to document all these photos and my thoughts and feelings as we build, because let's be honest....its stressful but so exciting as well.  I also want our family members to be caught up on our process because they don't live in the same town as us.

Here is a little history.  We purchased land that has been foreclosed (it had an old house on it and a shed).  This was March 2011.  We continued saving money and had to pick a builder, choose our floor plan, prepare the land to build, and of course save MORE MONEY (do you ever really save enough?!) lol.

Land & House right when we became the new owners.

(Love the blue trim?!)

Matching Shed

The main thing that made us fall in love with the piece of land, all the mature trees.  Love them!

We purchased a nice zero turn lawn mower and started to plan again.  In August 2011, Brent received a phone call that our shed had been burnt down. What?!

The fire department ruled it as arson and we were devastated and felt violated.  Of course, we stored our new lawn mower there thinking it was completely safe and locked up.

Thankfully several people called the fire in and reported it burning.

Fast forward to 2012, We contacted the local fire department and donated the house for them to use in training and to ultimately burn the house down.

 What was left over...

We then contracted someone to come out and clean up all the fire mess and now you cant really tell there was every any fires, let alone buildings.

FAST FORWARD----------->

We have chosen our builder, our floor plan and are now ready to build. Did we want to build in the winter? Of course not, but it is what is is.

The first official digging day was January 7th 2013. They cut the temp driveway in (we need more rocks, 3 truck loads didn't even touch it) and dug our basement. Footers were placed on January 8th and concrete is going in today for those (January 9th)

Here are the photos from the first day. We were there early enough to see the first dig. SO exciting!

Starting to cut out temp driveway

The area "before"
About to make the first official dig for basement

We then went to lunch and picked our our stone color to go with our bricks and we came back in a few short hours and all of this had been done!

These dirt piles were so tall!  Brent is 6'4 they were much taller.

Ran out of rocks.

Were so excited!  We chose a ranch floor plan with a full basement.  House will have 3 bedrooms + hobby room (my scrapbook room), and a dining room.  I have always wanted a dining room!

Now its suppose to rain the rest of the week so fingers crossed they can keep working next week!

Alpaca Farm

Hello Everyone!

This isnt crafting related but more family related!  Last weekend I had a Stampin Up party at my grandmas and afterwards we went over to Brents parents house where we all went to an Alpaca farm in a nearby city close to their home.

Aiden loved them!

I fell in love with the dogs there...so big!

Had so much fun!  This weekend we are enjoying time at home.  Yesterday was Brent and I's 5 year anniversary....I love him so much!  I am very blessed in life! We were going to go out of town for the weekend but Brents mom, who was going to watch Aiden for us wasnt feeling too well and somehow an active 3 year old and being sick...well..it doesnt go together very well LOL.

Princess Crown

 Hello!

Right now Aiden is in preschool so I have a few minutes to blog.  I usually come home and work on my Etsy orders for the night so I can spend more time with Aiden and Brent once he gets home.  However, I needed to go to Hobby Lobby today for more paper and ribbon for my shop needs so its pretty much too late to start anything since I pick Aiden back up in 20 min or so.

We havent had any tears dropping him off at preschool.  I need to get busy working on his party decor and cake plans!

Speaking of cakes..I was asked to create a nameplate for a Diaper Cake.  I was given freedom to create anything it just needed to be a princess crown theme, have her name, and be blingy!

Loved the way it turned out.  The sparkles match in real life...not sure why they are showing up as orange.

I also just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!

Saturday!!

Hell0!
Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope everyone gets to enjoy an extra long weekend! Hubby has Monday and Tuesday off!! I love his job...it works out so well for our family!
For some reason blogger has been giving me lots of problems. For example, it says I wrote that last post on the 6th, no 26th. Weird and now I cant move any pictures...which is why they are all at the top!
Sorry!
Those are some of the current cards I was able to create.
The first one is the card I created for my sisters college graduation. She loves black/pink so it works!
The second one I made for my aunt when she watched Mr. Aiden and my nephew when we closed on our land we purchased!
I also updated my party blog with another client photo! I love getting those pictures in my inbox and seeing how happy they are!
Today we have a busy day. We are going to Brents family for the holiday and my uncles house on Sunday. I am OFFICIALLY caught up on ALL paid orders, just working on a few samples and I am SOOOO excited!! I finally get a chance to work on some BRAND new items!! I am so excited to show you these things..I also hope to clean my scrapbook room. Its terrible...I wont even lie. I step on about 23920 things when I try to sit down. No joke
Well I hope everyone has a great saturday! Come back soon!

Here is the link to my party blog if you are interested!

Day 3 Challenge

Hey There! Its time for Day 3 Challenge..........Share your favorite photograph of your best friend.
Its obvious that Brent is my best friend (although I do have some best girl friends!). I love this picture of him.....perhaps it also doesnt help he has the cutest kid in his arms as well!
Brent doesnt like his picture being taken and he actually asked me to take this one...so you see his smile?!

Its real...and I love that! He looks so happy. He looks like a great dad (because he is!). Brent treats me like a princess...I am so spoiled. And the son we made....he STILL takes my breath away. Its amazing how much I love the little boy. So much it actually makes my heart hurt somedays. No joke!

I live a very blessed life :)

I promise I will be doing some crafty posts again!

Little Mermaid

Happy Friday Everyone!!

I cannot believe it is JULY already...its crazy! Christmas will be here before you know it. I just wanted to make sure I got the chance to post today with the card I created for Blackleaf...it also fits the Friday Sketchers sketch challenge going on right now...

I used the Mermaid Stamps and colored her with my copics. For her tail I used 3 colors to give it a multi-color shimmer look to it...same thing with the shells. I also put glitter on the tail and shells!

Like I said before..I wanted to post now since TODAY IS BRENTS BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!! And I will be spending the day with him and Aiden. So...its almost 2am and I am getting pretty tired so I will post more later LOL...........Thanks for looking!!!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Brent

You are the best dad Aiden could ever have. Aiden and I just wanted to tell you how special you are and how much you mean to us. We will make sure you have a wonderful Father's Day Weekend!!

I could make tons of lists on how you are such a good dad. But honestly....look at Aiden. He is the prime example of what type of father he has in his life.

We appreciate how hard you work for us and provide for the family. Thank you for all you do...it does not go unnoticed and unappreciated.

I love the fact that I had such a hard time picking the cutest photos of you and Aiden...there are so many and I love how hands on you are in his life.

Happy Father's Day!!

Love,

Aiden & Ashley

Lazy Sunday

Hope your weekend is going well! Today is Sunday and its going to be a lazy day..in fact both of my boys (DH and Mr. Aiden) and still sleeping. I swear Aiden is growing again. Next week he will be back to waking up at 6am again.lol...so I am enjoying some quiet time catching up on my blogs and posting on my own.

Yesterday was a great day/night. I had a family bridal shower to go to and I just wanted to show you the card I made for her. Her colors are ambiance rose (I had to google it..I admit it) and I made this:

In a couple posts down you can see the purple, silver, and black version I made for my sister for her friends shower this coming week. I found this stamp at the Heirloom show and they had these swarvorski crystals you could buy..I had to buy several packs because I thought it looked adorable on the flower bouquet!! Her dress is completely glittered as well.
One thing I love about my sister is that she loves when I make her handmade cards for these events..so here is the one I made for her to give the bride to be.
The umbrella is completely glittered as well!
So now I need to get working on her wedding cards!
After the shower Brent took me to Archivers where believe it or not..I bought things for someone else and not me!! GASP!! We then went to Red Robin for my FREE birthday burger...and they gave me a sundae to share with Aiden ;)
He sure does get alot of girls flirting with him...both young and older
And here is one last card I have to show...we also have two confirmations next Sunday and both are boys. I found this 2 pack of Jolees stickers of crosses with "bling" and I decided to create both boys cards with those. Inside has a pocket for some $$$. What teenager doesnt like to see a card with cash?! lol

So I have been busy making these cards and I also have my cousins bday coming up so I will have to upload those pics and show you all soon!
Okay well I think I am going to go run to my craft room...although I swear Aiden knows when I enter that room and wakes up lol. Hope you have a wonderful, lazy Sunday!
p.s. I chose Kansas to win it ALL..my brackets are NOT looking so hot
