T.G.I.F

Hello!

We are so happy its Friday.....we are ready for Easter and to hunt eggs (well, Aiden is at least)

We have had a busy week.  We went to the house a few times and had to drop off our master bath window.  Its installed and I love it!

Our counter area was fixed (it was too high)

They also started the cedar arches on the front of the windows

Brent was there today and said our brick and stone was delivered!

We also died our eggs tonight
Aiden had soo much fun!

Now we are ready for Easter.  Have a great weekend!

Catching Up

Easter was SO much more fun this year than last year :)

Can't wait to see what Aidens like next year!

We were able to celebrate Easter for several days. Brents family on Saturday and our personal one and my families on Sunday evening. Of course it has been raining for 9232 days straight so pictures werent the best.

Here is Aiden ready to go outside. Hes thinking "c'mom mom..no more pics..lets go outside!"

I hid the eggs on the porch, front area and on the cars in the driveway since it was so rainy out.

Here is a picture from my aunts house...who have bunnies! Look how precious this picture turned out! Oh...and can you tell hes spoiled by all the stuff around him LOL

This year I wanted to start another family tradition. Adorable monogrammed Easter baskets that all my kids could have. Pottery Barn has the cutest baskets/liners and sell out FAST each year. I was lucky to be able to get TWO..the larger one (below) which is the basket the Easter Bunny leaves and a smaller one Aiden gets to keep to gather eggs at hunts and take to family.

Look how cute his basket turned out! ITS HUGE! A huge ball, pack of sidewalk chalk, candy, frisbee and bubbles all fit in there!

I also want to share some adorable custom Curious George items I created for a client a couple weeks ago. I love the way they turned out!!

Time to start the roast for dinner! Come back soon!

Where have I been?!

Goodness it feels like ages since I last wrote! So much has been happening and I cannot believe how fast the days have gone!

Here are my resons ("excuses" LOL) for not blogging very much:

  • Sickness- It started with Aiden..and then I got it. Except I got it SO MUCH worse than Aiden (thank goodness!) It was terrible. I finally caved in and went to the Dr after being so sick for over a week. Today is the last day for my antibiotics and I am still not 100% well. But at least I can function now. Terrible I tell you. Aiden seems to be fine! Like I said before...he didnt get it as hard as I did and Brent didnt get it at all. Amazing!

  • Also on the 8th we CLOSED ON LAND!!!!!!!! This is so exciting...especially if you know us in real life and could see us trying to find a new house. We have looked at alot and nothing ever seemed to "fit", or they were out of our price range. We still want to have vactions and nice things so that wasnt going to happen with a house out of our comfort zone. So we found 5 acres we liked. It was terrible..the first day we drove to the land to look. THREE others cars pulled up at the same time..and that was just when we were there. So who knows how many actually came and liked it. We were told there were other offers and to put our best one in....and we got it! (and we still got a great deal...well as much of a deal as you can get for 5 acres)

  • I finally was able to play around with a fun new digi stamp from an artist called Loopy 4 Digi Designs. Lori hand draws these all herself and they are mighty cute! I really loved this digi because ALOT of Easter bunnies or even other designs such as flowers, chicks, etc all look so girly and having a son and a nephew it was great to find a male rabbit!

This digi is only 2.50!! And you can find her Etsy shop HERE

I colored him with my copics and used some pattern paper from Hobby Lobby. The brads are fuzzy and reminded me of Spring...they also came from Hobby Lobby.

So I am sorry for the lack of blogging but now that I am feeling better I SWEAR (on my copics....) to be a better blogger again. Yes, I just swore on my Copics so you know I am being serious here.

So now I am off to start looking at house plans. Have some you like leave a comment with the url of them!

Easter Basket

Happy Easter Everyone!

I am not sure why my child looks mad in every photo of him lately. He loved his Easter basket. I wrapped everything and put it in his cute little basket. He got:

  • Gerber Snack Foods

  • Chocolate Bunny

  • Spot Easter Book

  • Brand new Thomas the Train wooden pieces for his table

I know it doesnt look like much...but those Thomas the Train wooden pieces are 2o.oo or more LOL. Hes spoiled already..trust me.

We then went to my grandmas where we had a nice dinner and then the kids had another egg hunt. Aiden got ALOT of goodies like candy, bubbles, books, bubble mower and more :)

We had a wonderful Easter...hope your family did as well. And Brent doesnt work Mondays so we have all day to recover from our busy weekend and spend more time together. He did so good last night at his other grandparents house. Lots of goodies in HUGE Easter Eggs!!

I promise I will upload cards again...probably tomorrow as I have a few to show you. I will show you the Easter Card I made for my cousin Katie and Aiden. They each had different colored brads though.

Have a great night everyone..time to go eat all the candy ;)

Easter Eggs

Tomorro is actual Easter but we will be at my grandparents tomorrow and tonight is Brents familys celebration. Growing up I remember getting Easter Baskets and going to church for an egg hunt.

I want Aiden to have all those little memories...so todays post is going to be about Dying Easter Eggs (with an 18th month old LOL)

We are all ready...newspaper down...cups away from edge of paper, eggs ready

Aiden got really into it...before he started throwing the eggs :)

He is so proud of himself (TADAAA)
Our pretty work...note some do have stickers and some are cracked from Aiden throwing them into the carton. But they are pretty and we made videos and memories!
Notice...Mr. Grabby Hands ;)
These were so cute...for the .4 seconds they lasted!

Cant wait to show you his little Easter Basket...its kinda hard because hes in between ages and we dont really give him chocolate but I did get him a bunny...I had to!
We gotta get ready to go to Brents Parents house...sorry theres no card today but I will have plenty to show later

Looking Back and the Cats Meow

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I have been blogging alot lately and I am loving it! I usually do it around the same times of the day it seems either A.) When Aiden is napping or B.) LATE at night/early morning when Aiden is sleeping.

haha...notice a trend here? Yes, blogging is "ME" time...this is like my personal journal and I know my posts might not be the most exciting...but its so fun going back and rereading my past entries

like....

When I told everyone I was preggo
Wondering where he was?
Aiden was born!

Pretty cool moments to go back and look at what I was writing and feeling. Man, this would be an awesome time to tell someone Im preggo again..BUT IM NOT..so dont think that...its just Aiden consumes my life and before him...nothing seems that important (except meeting and marrying Brent afterall, because without him I wouldnt have Aiden haha)

I am mentioning this because I found a great website where I can turn my blog into a book or several books so that I can always remember these posts...I really want to do this but its alot of $$$$..

Anyways....back to cardmaking and scrapbook

Here is the Get Sketchy Challenge

And here is my version of the sketch...sorry its Easter again haha. I promise next project WONT be Easter....hows that??

In my last post I talked about finding good deals at GoodWill and how I never went..but now
I Am HOOKED!!! Shoppers of goodwill will know what I mean when the color of the week was green.
Dont worry...just until I went I had no clue what that meant..but for me it was great that it was green because these cats meows had a green label/price tag on them for $2.99 or .99 each and I got them HALF off that...so for 17 cats meow (some pretty old) I got them for like $17.00. Talk about a deal in my book!
Okay well Aiden is waking back up from his nap so I gotta go but come back soon for a non Easter card...I promise ;)

Easter Card...again?!

Have I said before how much I Love these dollar stamps from Michaels?! Glitter and glossy accents and those oh so cute glitter brads have been my "thang" for the whole week it seems lol. Have you ever had something you just seem to use over & over again until you have to make yourself S-T-O-P?

This card is for Taylor Expressions sketch she has posted.

I kinda changed the same a little for my card image I was using. The bunny is also a newer stamp and I masked him with last years Easer egg border stamp..so it looks like hes surrounded by fun, pretty eggs! The sentiment is from Stampin Up. Its so nice working with these bright colors and praying Spring follows the trend of my cards and hurries up...at least we didnt get the snow we were suppose to and got some rain instead!

Come back tomorrow as I have more cards to show!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Michaels $1.00 stamps (egg border & bunny), sentiment is SU loads of love accessories
Inks: Copics
Paper: Bo Bunny
Cardstock: Stampin Up
Brads: Spare Parts (Hobby Lobby)
Other: Stampendous Glitter, stickles, glossy accents, popdots

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

Happy Thursday Everyone...actually in my area its almost midnight...so technically FRIDAY lol...hey I love the weekends and I will take anything to justify it to get here faster!

Here is my sketch for Cute Card Thursday challenge. This is challenge 100 and this if my first time participating in this challenge. I like this one. Want to know why?! Its not a sketch...they give you something you need to show or represent on the card. This week...its METAL

How fun! Mine is simple but I am loving the Easter cards now. My metal is the 3 glitter brads on the left hand side of the card. I got these brads from Hobby Lobby when spare parts were HALF off and I need more!

Do you like my NEW signature stamp I put on the back of my cards now? I was selling alot of cards and items for Valentines day on Etsy and no one who recieved my cards would ever see my other creations or I got proper recognition for them. I love it...leave me a comment if you want to know the seller I purchased it from. It was kinda expensive though...24 with shipping but its custom and a wood handle..I am so happy with it!
I do let people see a picture of the back of the card so they see it before they buy it...well if they look at all my pics ;)
Okay well I am going to get off here and go and watch survivor with the hubby!
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Michaels $1.00
Inks: COPICS, Ranger Black
Cardstock: Stampin Up
Pattern Paper: Doodlebug
Punches: Marvy
Brads: Hobby Lobby Spare Parts
Other:Glossy Accents, popdots

Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!! Friday is almost here!! Too bad we are suppose to get MORE snow this weekend....we were up to about 10 inches here and now more?! It will never melt lol...

I also did another sketch this time I did the Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Like I mention before I do these when Aiden takes a nap and it really refreshens me and gets me ready to play and be his servant again when he wakes up lol.

So here is todays sketch:

And here is my take on this one. Its not as decorative as I usually am but I really wanted to focus to be on the Easter basket and all the eggs (they have glossy accents and/or glitter) I am totally loving these cheap Easter stamps, this is another Michaels $1.00 stamp and couldnt be happier with it!

Well it is time to get Aiden ready for bed and start over tomorrow...hopefully I can work on a Thursday Sketch..I just need to find a Friday one...any ideas or websites? I really like to do sketches and not colors to use.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Michaels $1.00
Inks: COPICS, Ranger Black
Cardstock: Stampin up
Pattern paper: Bo Bunny
Punches: Marvy
Gemstones: Mark Richards
Primas: Prima
Ribbon: Michaels $1.00
Other: glitter brads, copic spica, glossy accents and popdots

Thanks for looking and vote for your reaction...its a neat new thing I added...especially if you dont have time to comment!

Tuesday Morning Sketch

I am finding fun sketch challenge sites everywhere. I love it! It makes me make myself get to my scrapbook room when Aidens napping and make a card....which is my destresser lol

This is a card for the Tuesday Morning Sketches

Here is what the card is suppose to resemble:

And here is my verison of the sketch. This card is now for sale in my Esty shop. Aiden has been super cranky (I blame teething..like always lol) and he is taking a super long nap so I cleaned out my Etsy store.

Isnt he cute?! Can you believe this is a $1.oo stamp from Michaels (got it this month)..He has glitter on the edge of him, glossy accented egg, flower soft grash and is popdotted on the card. I also used eyelets..wow I cannot tell you when the last time I used eyelets were.
Card Recipe:
Stamp: $1.00 Michael
Paper: Bo Bunny (plaid)
Cardstock: Stampin up
Ribbon: Michaels $1.00
Eyelets: Making Memories
Inks: Copics, memento
Other: Glossy accents, doodlebug glitter, flower soft, popdots
Like I mentioned before..I was able to sit down and rework my Etsy store. I decided to make my Valentines Day cards on sale...I am getting way too many lol...and I also added the Easter and moved the Easter section up higher on the sections list.
Okay well I am going to get off here and start thinking about what to make for dinner....Brent has spoiled me by taking us out to eat pretty much all weekend lol. time for reality now
