Im back!!

I am back!! Wow..it feels like I havent blogged in a long time. I took the weekend/Monday off.

I wanted to spend time with Aiden and Brent for Father's Day and make sure his weekend was special and me not being on the computer all weekend ;)

On Monday I also kinda threw him a surprise early bday party with the help of my mom and sister. It wasnt for family..just us. My mom was in on it so she could watch Aiden for us and we could have a day to ourselves (I took him to a casino..he loves going!) and my sister was in on it so pick up his surprise cake and pizza dinner.

We surprised him..his bday is on July 2nd and I feel like we never reall celebrate it with the 4th that same week.

(His mane has paper curled up to look 3d..not sure why it looks strange in pic lol)

I created this card for the challenge going on at the Blackleaf blog..check it out..you could win an entire set of jungle stamps!! How fun.

Okay well I am sorry to cut this short but my MIL has Aiden today so I get some FREE TIME..and I am not wasting it lol...

Cynthia with mushrooms

Hello Everyone! Happy Monday. Sorry this is later than usual being posted but blogspot wasnt letting me upload or create a new post ALL day...but it seems to be working now.

I just wanted to show you a creation I made with The Stamping Boutique image of Cynthia pushing mushrooms for the sketch they are sponsoring over at 2 Sketches 4 you.

I also am creating this for the monthly contest going on over at the challenge blog.I need to post her in as many challenges as I can!!! Sounds fun to me!!

She has so much glitter and bling to her...even on the flowers!! I colored her with copics and the glitter is from Art Glitter. She was so much fun to color!!

Metal Mania

Wednesday was also a new challenge over at Blackleaf as well! It's fun..you need to use blackleaf images and metal of some sort!

The DT got to use the new stamps (which I am so excited to use again!)

And here is my card I created-I ran alumin foil through my cuttlebug. Since its so fragile I always attatch cardstock behind the foil first...so that when you run it through it doesnt tear the delicate foil. At the bottom of the card I wanted the foil to look "rough" so I punched holes in it and kinda tore the top and bent it.

I have used this technique before on cards for my dad since he loves Harley Davidson and Chrome.
I am so happy its Friday!!! I hope to have some time to work on some craft show items...I am starting to stress a little LOL..even though Brent made me promise not to get stressed. I also have found a BIG show nearby that is having one in November..I really want to sign up for that one as well.
Will it rain AGAIN..for the 5th weekend in a row?! We shall see lol...Check back later because I have some exciting news, new items to show, and a new video of my latest craft show item!!

My Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Happy weekend!! This post will probably be really short...I am so tired right now (Aiden has been waking up VERY early for the whole week..and it wears me out lol).

So sad I am ready for bed at midnight on a weekend..what has happened to me?!

Today I went shopping with my sister to find some dressy clothes for her since she is now going to intern at a lawyers office. Had alot of fun with her..AND she did my hair tonight :)

For Blackleaf it was my turn as a DT member to do a challenge and I was able to use an army set Tanvi has released and I had a color combo challenge (use red, black, and green.)

Here is my card!

The gun has glossy accents on it and I wanted to use big metal masculine brads. I stamped the Happy Fathers Day sentiment with a Jo Ann's $1.00 stamp I just got not too long ago.
This card is very masculine and perfect for a father serving in the army or had. Hopefully I will post more this weekend..I havent had much time for crafting :( Maybe for Mothers Day?!
So go and check out my post over on the Blackeaf Studios blog!
Have a great weekend!

Festive Wine Tag

Its Thursday already!! YAY..almost another weekend..I love it when the weekdays fly by and the weekend is here! Busy as always!! I have alot of fun projects in the works! Over at Blackleaf Studios there is another challenge going on..........
  • Use Blackleaf products...there are some freebies to chose from if you just want to see what Blackleaf is all about (you wont be disapointed!)
  • Use chipboard!

The DT has also been trying to stay away from cards and think outside of the box...the winner gets a full set of the adorable wine tags I used below in my project.

I wanted to use the blue wine tag with butterflies on it. You cant tell from the picture but I covered each butterfly in glitter on the tag! The tag is also backed in CHIPBOARD. The butterflies are a martha stewart punch and they are also made out of CHIPBOARD (thin white) and I used CHIPBOARD white thickers to spell out "WINE".

I used scrap paper (love when I do that!) to cover the bottle of wine and wraped a matching blue ribbon around the bottle. I also added 3d CHIPBOARD butterflies all the way around the bottle.

Wouldnt this be a wonderful and thoughtful gift for a new neighbor or house warming party!

Well Aiden and I have a very busy day today!! Gotta get going..check back tomorrow for more creations :)

Gerber Food Stage Containers?!?!

You can always make a fun and cute gift (of a well deserved gift for yourself) with materials you have at hand or something really inexpensive.

Aiden doesnt really eat baby food anymore but we have some left and I use to save ALL of these cute little sturdy Gerber stage food containers.

I gave some to a SU demo for her to use, to my grandma, to my mom, to my aunt, and many more people and yet I still find TONS in my scrap room.

Where is this post going you may ask? At Blackleaf Studios the challenge for this time is to make anything but a card and I wanted to use to adorable tea pots.

So I took this (of course this isnt the same one I used..mine was all nice and clean ;) )

And transformed it into this....an adorable favorite tea holder. I will probably give this to my friend who just got a job in an office setting....so she can store her favorite teas at her dest :)

Whats ever better.........all the paper were scraps I had left over for a project I cant wait to show you that I am part off!!!

The paper is My Minds Eye and I got it from Hobby Lobby (3 papers total) and I used copics to color the tea pot, popdots, mini tag, and just a black pen and SU elegant Eggplant cardstock.

It really did not take alot of time at all and yet it looks like I did LOL

So if you have any time and have some Blackleaf projects you should try this challenge and link your project HERE. I know myself and the rest of the DT would love to see what you can do!

Okay well I am off to fix Mr. Aiden and myself some lunch..we got up a little early and were going to eat lunch a little early :)

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday Everyone,

Did anyone fall for any April Fools Day tricks or blog posts?! I was good and didnt do one this year ;)

But theres always next year.

Im excited..it was my turn to post on the Blackleaf Studios Blog today and it was my challenge today

anything goes...but we are trying to do something other than cards. I was also able to use the new Cupcake Gift Tag set.....and yes you get ALL of them!! Such pretty colors and adorable cupcake image..almost too pretty to use ;)

So I created several projects. A gift tag for the lucky person to get the cupcakes..all I need to do is to write the lucky persons name on the tag!
I also created a yummy recipe card to go with the set. This project was SO easy but is a special touch to a present.

So go on over to the blog and give my post some love!!
Today Brent is home with Aiden and I (yay). Maybe I will get to make some new cards and post them later..since I am writing this at 1 :30 in the morning LOL
Off to bed...see you tomorrow :)

Color Dare

Have I mentioned how fun it is to be on a design team?!

To feel like part of a family in the stamping/paper crafting family. I love it..especially being a SAHM..feels good to have someone look and appreciate all your hard work that goes into each and every card you make.

Blackleaf Studios gave the DT members a color challange..or dare you could call it. It was to use a set from the Toy Transport Digi Stamps

And yes....you get ALL of those adorable images for only $4.00!!
Anyways...

It was to use those images and black and white and ONE color of our choice.
Heres mine!

So obviously I chose blue as my other color. I have to admit this challenge was kinda hard for me...especially since I LOVE LOVE LOVE to color with my copics and shade and blend and all that fun stuff...but to only be able to use blue, black, & white?! I did get to make something and Im pretty happy with it! I am having SO much fun with the Mudd Puddles product (the sand/dirt)

So...now you should hop on over to Blackleaf Studios blog (after you finish my post! lol) and check out what Rachel did!

Today is a cloudy Saturday..looks like it could rain at any minute. I am missing the weather we had last weekend at this time. I will probably post again today...Aiden just turned 18 months on the 10th..yes..I am behind lol..but I want to do a post on my blog every month about what hes doing and everything. Like I mentioned before..I make my blog into a book and I really want to cherish these moments in my life right now :)

Hope you all have a great weekend and check back soon.

p.s. Interested in what that mudd puddles is......I did a demo awhile back..check it out again :)
